Dr. Ruby Daniels Gordon, Honorary Arizona Division President, UDC

On Sunday, October 9, 2011, Dr. Ruby Daniels Gordon was presented with the title of Honorary Arizona Division President by our Division President, Janet Grams and 1st Vice President, Lesa Bornost.

She was presented with her new pin, ribbon and sash. Ruby shared information she has been putting together for our AZ UDC History Book projector Book project. This is information we otherwise would not have available to us. We also learned that Ruby has contributed to the Veterans History Project in the past and is also working on her brother’s story.

Dr. Gordon has been a devoted UDC member since May 15, 1984. She became a member on the record of her Great Grandfather, William Calvin Brewer of Mississippi. We are sure he would be proud of the service rendered to the UDC by his great granddaughter.

Over many years Ruby has contributed much to her chapters and to the Arizona Division. It is certainly befitting for her to have received the title, Honorary Arizona Division President. As a devoted UDC member, we can consult and look to her for proper inspiration and correct guidance in any and all UDC matters.
