Scholarships

The United Daughters of the Confederacy organization offers a number of scholarships for those who have Confederate ancestors. If you are interested in applying for a UDC-sponsored scholarship, please make note of the following:

  • Scholarship candidates must have verifiable Confederate ancestors.
  • Scholarship candidates must be sponsored by local Chapters.
  • Scholarship application forms are available only through local UDC Chapters.
  • Completed scholarship applications are submitted only through local UDC Chapters.

For these reasons, the best way to start the process is to contact the local UDC Chapter nearest you in order to determine eligibility and to obtain an application. The local Chapters for the UDC Arizona Division are listed below:

Note: It is not necessary to include information about your Confederate ancestor in the initial request.
